DD-WRT: Static Leases. (Static IP Router Side)

Post by Jarod » Tue Dec 11, 2012 8:34 pm

Today I'm showing you how to keep your IP static on your router, this is useful for running a server, Etc.

You'll need the MAC address and hostname of the machine you want to have a static IP.
these can both be found on your routers

Go to your router admin page, then click services, then under the DHCP server heading there is an add button at the bottom below a grey bar that says static leases.
put the MAC, hostname and your desired static IP in the respective boxes. the client lease time box is optional. leave it blank if you want a permanent static lease for that machine.
